Terms of use
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply when you create a Snagtwin account or use Snagtwin: the desktop app for Windows, the Snagtwin Field phone app, and cloud projects. By creating an account or using Snagtwin you agree to them. If you use Snagtwin for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
1. The service
Snagtwin is a tool for commissioning work on building information models (BIM): trackers, photographs, checklists, site observation reports (SORs), actions, documents and reports. Cloud projects let the people in a project share that work between PCs and phones. Models stay on each PC; cloud projects hold the records described in our privacy policy.
2. Your account
- Sign up with your own email address, or with a Google or Microsoft account. One account is for one person.
- Give your real name: it is written on the records you make, and other members of your projects see it.
- Keep your password and your devices safe. Tell the project's administrator, or us, at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- Sign-in is provided by Microsoft Entra External ID. Snagtwin never sees the password of a Google or Microsoft account.
3. Projects, administrators and invitations
- The person who creates a cloud project is its first administrator. Administrators decide who is a member, what each member may see and do, and how changes are reviewed.
- Invite only people who should see the project. An administrator is responsible for the people they add and for removing access that is no longer needed.
- When you join a project, its administrators and members see your name, and its administrators see your email address.
4. Your content
You keep every right you have in what you put into Snagtwin: models, photographs, records and documents. You give us permission to store, copy and process that content only as needed to run the service for you and your project's members — for example to keep it in the cloud, show it on your devices and make the reports you ask for. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for the records you issue with Snagtwin. Snagtwin numbers, stores and prints records as you set it to; checking what a contractual record says is yours.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use Snagtwin to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to store or send harmful software.
- Do not try to reach projects or accounts that are not yours, to get round limits or security, or to overload the service.
- Do not resell the service or create accounts automatically.
6. Free use and limits
Snagtwin is free to use today, within limits on the number of projects, the storage and the members a project may have. The app shows the limits that apply to you. We may change the limits or introduce paid plans; we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before a change takes anything away from you.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Snagtwin available and your content safe, and we back up the cloud's account and membership records every night. We cannot promise that the service will never be interrupted or never lose data, so keep your own copies of anything you cannot do without — Snagtwin can save reports, registers and workbooks to your PC at any time. We may change or improve the apps and the service.
8. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Snagtwin at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk; where we can, we will tell you first. A project's records belong to the project: when a member leaves, what they recorded stays in the project with their name on it.
9. Liability
Snagtwin is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or contracts, arising from the use of Snagtwin. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Using Snagtwin after a change means you accept the new terms.
