Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy says what Snagtwin collects when you create an account and use the desktop app, the Snagtwin Field phone app and cloud projects; where it is kept; who can see it; and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Your account: your name, your email address, and, if you give it, your company. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from them — never your password.
- Your projects: what you and other members put into a cloud project — trackers and their statuses, photographs and their comments, checklists, site observation reports, actions, document registers, drawings and the 3D files made for the phone. Models stay on each PC and are not uploaded.
- Who did what: each record carries the name of the person who made it and when. An audit record keeps who was given or removed access to a project and when; an invitation is kept there as a fingerprint of the email address, not the address itself.
- Your devices: the app's version, when each device was last seen, and a device identifier made by the app, so that an administrator can see which apps are in use.
The apps have no advertising and no third-party analytics. The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
2. Where it is kept
- Accounts are kept by Microsoft Entra External ID, Microsoft's sign-in service.
- Cloud projects, the membership records and their nightly backups are kept in Microsoft Azure, in its UAE North region.
- Your PC and phone keep a copy of the projects you open, so you can work without signal.
- Emails we send for you, such as invitations, go through Microsoft Azure Communication Services.
Microsoft processes this data for us under its own terms and security commitments.
3. Who can see it
- The members of a project see its records and the names of the people who made them.
- A project's administrators also see its members' email addresses, roles and devices, and its audit record.
- The people who run Snagtwin can reach accounts and projects to keep the service working, to answer you, or when the law requires it — not otherwise.
- We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
Your account is kept until you or we delete it. A project's records are kept until its administrators delete them or the project; records you made stay in a project after you leave it, with your name, because they are part of the project's history. Backups are replaced in turn and kept for a limited time.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can correct your name in the app, and ask to see, correct, export or delete what we hold about you.
- You can delete your account; until the app offers it, email us and we will do it.
- Depending on where you live, data protection law — for example Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, or the EU or UK GDPR — may give you further rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
6. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Devices receive short-lived keys for one project at a time; a removed member loses access within minutes. Sign-in tokens are kept encrypted on your PC and in the phone app's own storage.
7. Children
Snagtwin is a professional tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top says when it last changed. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
9. Contact
Questions or requests about your data: [email protected].
